1984 is the debut album project from Alix Perez, released in 2009 on Shogun Audio. The concept was to visualise and relate the sample-based style and production techniques that Alix uses to create a modern take on his musical influences. To emphasise the concept our artwork drew inspiration from the Bauhaus movement and classic Blue Note jazz label sleeve designs of the 60’s & 70’s.

The package consists of two 12” singles and a spot varnished 12” LP & CD. We art directed the project from conception through to its production, working closely with renowned music photographer Dan Reid.
