Boxpark Wembley

—Brand Application

Posted on: 29.09.2019

Following on from our brand development work for Boxpark Croydon, we were challenged to do the same for Boxpark’s latest project in Wembley.

A step-up in scale and ambition from Shoreditch and Croydon, Boxpark Wembley marked a distinct evolution in the company’s direction.

Reflecting this change we developed Boxpark’s existing chevron pattern into a unique graphic system. This was applied to wayfinding signage, internal and external banners as well as floor markings and proposed roof graphics.

We were recently contacted by the Creative Director of the Sundance Institute, and asked to produce three concepts for the identity & campaign for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The brief was to create an inclusive, friendly tone of voice for next years festival; referencing universal iconography, primary colours and a handful of iconic artists. Our three initial concepts are shown here across a variety of applications; billboards, posters, web, social and wayfinding.

BeatBox

We kicked off 2018 working closely with retail design agency Brinkworth on the launch of Beatbox — a brand new bar at Boxpark Shoreditch that offers food and drink by day, and music by night.

The design brief put a heavy focus on soundproofing the unit in order to provide the best possible acoustics for music events. Sourcing materials traditionally found in recording studios, we produced the initial concept visuals before handing over to Brinkworth to work their magic. We then developed the brand identity, environmental graphics and neon signage that integrates within the space.Beatbox is now open and serving coffee from Small Batch and pies from Pieminister, drop by for lunch and check out our latest project.

Boxpark Wembley

—A Different League

We’ve busy developing the graphic language for Boxpark’s third site in Wembley. The biggest and most ambitious development for the brand yet, Boxpark Wembley will celebrate the very best in casual dining and sporting entertainment.

Working closely with renowned architects BDP, we’re designing a scheme that integrates the graphic communication within the architecture and expands the materiality of the brand itself — scaffold board is out, concrete is in, and shipping containers have been upgraded to larger standardised units.

The project continues to build on our longstanding relationship with Boxpark and we will be posting updates as the project progresses.
