Two Thousand & Fourteen

2014 has been a busy year at filthy and we have lots of new projects to show you in the coming weeks. We’ve also been working on our new website, a filthy online shop and have a 10 year exhibition planned for 2015. In the meantime we wanted to show you a snippet of some of our favourite projects from the past few months.

Here you can see our branding and application for the The Flour Pot Bakery in Brighton, the 10 Year of Shogun Audio box set, a fresh installation and creative direction for Boxpark Shoreditch and brand new compilation series created for Ram Records. So that’s it for 2014, we hope you have very filthy Christmas!

filthy Xmas Tree

Posted on: 03.12.2014

A few weeks back Crush Creative got in touch as asked if we would like to create a Christmas Tree for their Glug Christmas charity auction. We set work, brainstorming ideas for a tree that someone could buy and use each year in place of a traditional tree. We’d been wanting to create something in neon for a while so using that as our starting point we sketched out a few simplistic, graphical representations of a christmas tree.

When we were happy with the design we got in touch with Andy Doig at Fishtail Neon and talked through our ideas. Once we got the thumbs up we needed something to house neon in so we dismantled a set of IKEA office drawers and packed the top off to have our design laser cut and wet sprayed before taking it down to Andy, who carefully worked the neon tube to our exact design before mounting it inside the casing to create the final tree.

The auction itself was a great success with our trees raising over £2000 for local charity Emmaus. Find out more about the work they do in the local community HERE.
