Kindling Restaurant
Turning ash into rose gold
Challenge
Jane & Ramin Mostowfi approached us with their vision to open a new restaurant in Brighton, encompassing the ethos of ‘doing dining better’. This means working with local suppliers, creating minimal waste and prioritising quality in cooking and in service.
In collaboration with our brand strategist Emily Penny, we were briefed to guide the team through a brand platform workshop; creating a name, articulating a vision, mission, differentiator, values and brand proposition.
Solution
Reflecting the restaurant’s tagline of ‘Land, Sea & Fire’ we devised a brand icon that combines the alchemy symbols for earth, water and fire. The logotype is a customised variant of Burgess; an elegant serif font. The rich, rose gold and deep blue colour palette similarly conveys a sense of warmth & refinement.
Working alongside the interior design team at Stickland Wright, we developed the brand application covering the signage, wayfinding and uniforms. Lastly, we created the website, menus, launch campaign and a range of digital templates for the team to use across social media.
Scope
Naming, Strategy and Positioning, Verbal Identity, Visual Identity, Advertising, Social Media Content, Printed Collatorel, Apparel Design and Production, Wayfinding and Signage, Website Design and Build.
