We developed the visual identity for Junction 2, a revolutionary techno festival in London. The visual language took is primary inspiration from the festival logo - a graphic with two distinct vertical 'bars' as part of its design. We explored these two elements with abstract photographer Davy Evans using strip lights and exposed concrete to elude to the festival's urban setting.
The result was a large collection of abstract imagery which we arranged to create a sense of progression and narrative. The artwork was then released as key announcements were made in the lead-up to the festival.
The graphic language was applied across online advertising, promotional videos, and street advertisements - including a window manifestation at Phonica Records - London's leading vinyl records specialist based in Soho.
